Data collected via the contact form

In the contact form you provide your name, business email address, a topic and your message, and optionally your company. The form also sends the page language and a random reference number. We use these data to answer your enquiry to LeitWert Holding GmbH.

The data are sent to the website's server application on Cloudflare Workers, which checks them and delivers them via Cloudflare Email Sending as an email from web@leitwert.finance to the mailbox LeitWert Holding GmbH uses for enquiries; this mailbox is provided by Google (Gmail). Your email address is set as the reply address so that we can answer you. The application does not keep a copy of your message.

If direct sending is temporarily unavailable, the form instead opens a pre-filled email draft to info@leitwert.finance in your own mail client; the website then sends nothing.

Protection against misuse

To protect the form against automated misuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which your browser loads from challenges.cloudflare.com when you first use the form. Turnstile evaluates technical signals such as your IP address and browser information; when you send the form, the server application has the result checked by Cloudflare and passes on your IP address for this. To limit submissions, the application stores a key derived from your IP address (not the address itself) together with the time and reference number of each submission. These entries are scheduled for automatic deletion once they are 24 hours old.

Legal basis and storage period

If your enquiry concerns a possible contract with LeitWert Holding GmbH, we process your data to take steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For all other enquiries, and for the protection against misuse and the technical logs, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and operating the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and delete them afterwards, unless statutory retention obligations require longer storage.

Language preferences

Your display language is determined by the page URL. If you change the language with the language selector, your browser saves that choice in its local storage (only the language code) to remember it on your next visits; it is not sent to the server. See the cookie policy for details.

Third-party services

The website, its server application, the delivery of form emails and Turnstile are provided by Cloudflare; the receiving mailbox is provided by Google. Both providers may also process data outside the EU, in particular in the USA. Requests to the website include technical information such as your IP address and browser headers. The server application writes log entries with the outcome and reference number of each submission, without the content of your entries; Cloudflare keeps them for 7 days. Fonts are served with the website, and no analytics services are used.
